CD to MP3 WAV Maker is both a CD audio ripper and an audio converter in just one fast and efficient tool. Ripping is done by extracting the files directly from the disc, not through the sound card, which provides accurate copies of the original audio files. The output formats supported are WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA and Real Media.
CD to MP3 WAV Maker connects to FreeDB every time you load a new audio CD, and the metadata of the audio files are automatically transferred to your files. However, it includes a basic ID3 tag editor that will allow you to change any of the existing data, or to input your own, especially when no information was found through FreeDB.
Every codec provides a number of settings which allow you to set the level of quality according to your needs–bit rate, frequency, number of channels, variable and constant bit rates for OGG and MP3, etc., offering you a wide range of possibilities. Even the CD ripping process allows for quality settings, from “Burst Mode”, where speed is what matters, to “Paranoid Mode”, where all the possible check-outs are made to ensure that the extracted file is a perfect clone of the source file.
